Mission
Make no mistake…the professional services market, in its current form, is being disrupted. There is a battle for talent, there are new technology-based entrants to the legal services market and clients dislike paying hourly rates.
I established Big Yellow Penguin (BYP) in 2021 with the aim of encouraging and helping law firms to adopt practices, including value pricing, which will make their futures more secure, both financially and operationally. However, to do that they need to embrace change and act on it. Hence ‘carte blanche to change‘.

Why Me?
I don’t believe in reinventing wheels-unless your wheel is totally unrepairable. I advocate a “heads-up” looking strategy, seeing what is coming over the horizon and how it might impact firms. I will often make suggestions to un-mercilessly copy best practice that may take place in other industry sectors.
Every project delivered is different. This is because law firms are different as are their aims, objectives, their own customer bases and their people. Every project, like every journey, starts with a single step, an initial conversation.
